Hi Missives, and thanks! and you're right, it has never been more true for politics. For the first time, though, I felt like there were honest efforts to bridge the divide that the primaries created, and I just hope everyone can stay focused on how incredibly important it is to NOT allow the nonsense of the Roves and Republicans to prevail this time.

You and I may disagree a bit on Hillary's speech last night, but on everything else, it's clear we agree violently. Fabulous post. Dead-on right, and applicable to everything in life, not just politics. Although, given the climate of nominations and elections, it has never, ever been more true for politics.

Given that the democrats have had a 1-vote majority in the Senate and need a 10-vote majority, I'd say they've accomplished as much as they possibly could, especially with our buddy Bush up there in the White House waving his veto pen back and forth like a sword of the dark.

I hope that the people have the will to bash the democrats when they are in power and continue to accomplish nothing as they have done in the last 2 years.
