Bang the Drum: Live Blog: Compassion Forum (Clinton)

In her questioning of Sen. Obama, Campbell Brown stated that Sen. Clinton said he was an elitist. Brown should be ashamed of herself! How dare she put words in Sen. Clinton's mouth!!! She did NOT say Obama "was elitist"; she said the comments seemed elitist and that other people felt it was elitist. She never claimed that Obama WAS elitist.

Campbell Brown needs to stop misquoting and trying to cause discord. It's exactly that type of prejudicial journalism in favor of Obama that's causing the problems for voters in tring to get to the truth and real positions of the candidates.

I agree it was unfair, and slanded when Campbell misspeaks.
And couldn't agree with you more that she is part of the team that distorts the truth, and calls the shot as to who
    should be the next president.

Regardless of bias media, Hillary does better at connecting
with us, the people, the citizens!

While you may be correct (and I believe this is how I live-blogged it), Clinton might as well have called him elitist. She's taken her criticism too far, and it will come back around to bite her in her $109 Million butt.

I'm really trying to keep a straight face here! Let's look at the lies Obama told:
He said Rev. was not his spiritual advisor but his pastor,
let's see I recall his campaign site showed him as "Spiritual
    Advisor Counselor, not PASTOR.

He said the reason he joined the church was because he was inspired by the HIV & Prison ministry. Go check the facts,
did Wright's church have an HIV/AIDS program back 20 years ago?

He said his mother was very religious, no she was an atheist!

Let see what comes back around to take a big bite out of "THE
    ONE"

Personally I think Hillary was better!

    Fannie,

Um, no. He said his mother WASN'T very religious. Go back and listen to that again. Said he didn't go to church often b/c his mother wasn't very religious.

Pastor = spiritual advisor = spiritual shepherd. I don't see where you drop the advisor part.

He went to the church because they had started one of the first AIDS/HIV ministries on the South side. This is true and verifiable if you care to spend the time. 1988 was a key year because it corresponded to the first world AIDS day. By 1988 it was clear that Reagan was satisfied to let people die of AIDS/HIV rather than address it as a real issue, instead choosing to dismiss it as a 'gay disease'. Churches and other organizations responded. In fact, alongside the AIDS/HIV ministry that Wright started, he also began a gay/lesbian ministry which was not well-received by church members at first, but has grown to one of their strongest ministries today.

I'm sure none of this matters to you, because it's clear to me that unless he was lily-white, he'd be unacceptable, so I am not writing this for you, but to dispel the myths and lies you so blithely spread, similar to Mrs Clinton who was against guns before she was for them, except when she was shooting those snipers in Bosnia.
