No one is perfect; no candidate untouchable.  What you see in this article is insinuation with very little fact.  There's no "so what" attached to it, not really.  No event they describe in this article is wrong on its face.  It's a lot of "did you know" and "do you remember", and raising spectres from the past that are loaded with negative associations, but there's no smoking gun.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Yet it will have the desired effect, because it 'associates' McCain with illicit behavior without ever coming out and proving it. Far right folks probably started talking a little more open, a little more encouraging, and NYT took the bait.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Obama could care less, not a Republican left standing (or sitting) who can touch him.
