I just don't understand the logic of some folks though. With the floods we're dealing with now, the destruction from the fires in California and contiuing recovery from Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma; I wonder what's next and how our government will respond.

Fear-mongers like Gingrich should be recognized for just what they are.

Re: It Could Cost Us a City

Newt's framing of the Supreme Court majority as "five lawyers" is so disingenuous. Imagine the applause he would have given had the decision gone the other way. But now they have to actually honor the Constitution, and they're beside themselves trying to marginalize the decision.

McCain's promise to introduce legislation with Lindsey Graham is the same game. He's not going to be able to legislate the Constitution away, no matter how hard he tries.

Re: It Could Cost Us a City

right ON. thank you thank you. we need to hear this analysis more and more. thanks. unbelievable about gingrich's "waxing hysterical".

Re: It Could Cost Us a City

It all goes back to the keeping us scared garbage. If they keep spewing it enough, they can keep our minds off of the domestic problems, and keep them on the "imminent terrorist attack."

Re: It Could Cost Us a City

FUD.
